KEVERE HOUSE (1963-64)

Housemaster: Mr. Easom House Captain: M. J. OWEN

THIS year, we realized that the impossible had happened when we found ourselves winners of the House Championship Shield. For the first time we have been able to discard the ignoble possession of the wooden spoon.

Despite the fact that the Senior House failed to achieve first place in any of the House Championship Competitions, Bob Butterfield was the Senior Athletics Champion and John Samways achieved distinction in being chosen to play for the Middlesex Cricket Team.

The Lower and Middle Houses proved to be the most capable groups, only relinquishing the first place on two occasions. It does seem that in the light of these results, the future promises a repetition of this excellent performance, especially if Curd minor maintains his present standard.

Thus, spurred on by Butterfield and the Housemasters, we have achieved our goal, despite the apathy that still persists in the Senior House.
