PASSING OF A WORLD

Original Work by D. Cutting

The Dust and Ash was spread around;
A tiny child lay on the ground
Disfigured. shrivelled. very small.
No more to answer his mother's call,
To run to her, to cry, to bawl.
No more to sit and play
Innocently, through each day.
No more troubles, no more fears -
But a very sudden death.

There's no one there to cry.
They, who were all doomed to die
The death of mankind's folly,
Are not there to say they're sorry
Not even anyone to worry
For they all lie there with that child
Heap on heap they all lie piled.
Burnt and charred, dead and scarred.
Civilisation had almost passed.
