BADMINTON REPORT 1965-66

By Mr. R. Aird

Although not a particularly successful year so far as matches won were concerned, the season proved to be enjoyable and one or two innovations were made which proved popular. As well as the regular Thursday evening club nights, a singles tournament was held and eventually won by P. Wevill, who beat N. Lloyd in the final,

With the formation of a Junior club for 2nd and 3rd year boys, it is hoped that younger players may be able to take part in matches in the future. A singles tournament among the juniors aroused great enthusiasm and was won by I. Summerhayes, an extremely promising player, who beat M. Hughes in the final. The Captain and the Secretary for the year were P. Wevill and N. Lloyd and I should like to thank them for all the work put in to make the season such a pleasant one.
