STAFF CHANGES (1968)

The following members of the staff have left:

In July 1967–
Mr. K. A. Emmans to a joint appointment with the University of York and the York Education Authority.
Mr. H. Purcell to a post with the B.B.C.
Mr. F. S. Smith to a post in the Department of Education of Brunel University. 

in July 1968–
Mr. L R. Coleman to be Head of the Physics Department at Glyn Grammar School, Ewell, Surrey.
Mr. R. Ellard to be Head of the Physics Department at the Lawrence Sheriff Grammar School, Rugby.
Mr. J. Grinham to be Head of the History Department at the King Edward VII Grammar School, Kings Lynn, Norfolk.
Mr. I. Porter to a post at the High School for Boys, Hereford

The School wishes them success in their new appointments. We also wish success to the foreign assistants for 1966-67, Fraulein Christa Zimbehl and Monsieur Andre Pesquet, and to those for 1967-68. MIle Renee Bonnet, who had to return home at Christmas 1967 to go into hospital and who, we hope, is now restored to health, and Herr Peter Schaarschmidt

We deeply regret to report the death in his native Poland early in 1968 of Mr. C. Kurowski, who had retired only six months previously

The School is grateful to John Samways (1956-63) B.Sc. (Hons.) Southampton who filled the vacancy in the Geography Department during Mr. Banton's secondment during the school year 1967-68. We congratulate him on his appointment to post at the Royal Grammar School, High Wycombe.

We also welcome two new members of the secretarial staff, Mrs. A Buckle (full-time since November 1966) and Mrs. J. Horton (part-time since May 1968).
