No cap, no badge The first recorded mention of the dodo wearing a St. Nicks scarf was by Dutch sailors in 1598. In the following years, the bird was hunted by sailors and invasive species, while its habitat was being destroyed. The last widely accepted sighting of a dodo was in 1662. This is the last known photograph of a dodo, taken by me with my Vivitar 835AW, around 1645, just after I'd finished my tea and was about to start my homework.
