School Magazines

Notes:

When I took over the old site, I inherited a full set of digital magazines in PDF format. However the quality was sometimes very poor. I now have hard-copies of most magazines so I am re-scanning them, in both PDF and JPG formats, and I will make the JPG files available in the standard "Gallery" format that I use for most photos on the site. Important note: as with all photos/JPGs I have reduced the quality in order to improve the performance/page loading speed. Please let me know if you think I've got this balance wrong and the quality of the magazine pages is unacceptably poor. Much of the magazine contents is already available in other sections on the site - House Championships, Sport reports, Original Work, Staff Notes, Editorials etc, However when this section is complete you will be able to browse through the entire magazine contents - marvellous. Another important note: the search function (magnifying glass) is a great feature but it only works on text pages, it does not include text within images/JPGs.

Acknowledgements

Below are copies of most of the School Magazines that were produced during the school's existence.

"The Saint" was the magazine of the Old Boys Association.

"In Print" offers a selection of poems.

With many thanks to all those who supplied the original magazines to be scanned and then uploaded here. There are too many to thank by name, but you know who you are.

Everyone who attended the school will know the content of these magazines is absolutely superb. Well worth a look however the quality is sometimes very poor.

Warning: Three red stars indicates a large file and anyone with a slow connection may have a lengthy wait. I will try and reduce the size of these particular PDFs, or make JPG files available.
