Ian Hudspeth

Ian attended St. Nicks from 1971-78. He was awarded an OBE in 2021 for services to local government.

I’ve just heard the very sad news that our fellow SNOB, Ian Hudspeth, passed away last night. I knew Ian well through our common interest and involvement in local government. Ian was Leader at Oxfordshire County Council for many years and he and I were a bit of a double act at the Local Government Association (LGA) and the County Councils Network (CCN). I only saw him a few weeks ago when we had lunch together up in London. He had lost a lot of weight but told me that he was recovering well from his cancer. 

So sad to hear the news.
