The two highlights of a disappointing season were undoubtedly the defeat of Kingsbury County School, who had remained undefeated in the previous eight seasons, and the nine wicket victory over Thames Valley G.S .- this being the most convincing win by the School 1st XI.
With the loss of seven regular players, the team showed many changes from the previous year. Although it was pleasing to see the newly-established players settle in quickly, especially Harding, whose intelligent bowling was a great asset to the side - it was unfortunate that they did not usually receive the support they deserved from the more experienced members. Lack of concentration and application were once again the main failings and it is essential that the earlier batsmen appreciate the importance of their task of compiling a total large enough to give the bowlers some scope.
Providing this weakness is remedied, there is no reason why the team, which will contain a majority of last year's members, should not enjoy a successful season in 1964.
G. Harding was awarded School colours.
J. SAMWAYS U6
Samways is to be congratulated on being the first boy from the School to play for the Middlesex Grammar Schools' XI. The Association awarded him colours and he also had one game for Middlesex Young Amateurs.

This team, under its new captain, Sawyer, always played attractive cricket, and this policy was responsible for a fine win over William Ellis School, who only just failed, by 3 runs, to score the 150 runs needed to win, both teams batting for only two hours.
The Eastcote Cricket Club Cup was retained after an exciting win over Abbotsfield School in the final.
