The chess team has had a reasonably successful season, tying for first place in the Hillingdon Borough championship with Bishopshalt senior team.
In the National "Sunday Times" championship, the team fared better by one round this year, beating Ashmole School in the first round and losing only by the narrowest of margins to Sir William Borlase's School in the second round.
Individually, members of the school have played in the Middlesex and London championships and Breibart, Taffel, and Dickins have played regularly for Middlesex this season. Breibart won the school championship.
As the school is losing no chess players this year, there is every hope that next season will prove to be yet more successful.
