School Uniform
The appearance of most boys is a credit to the school, and I am very grateful to parents for their co-operation and support in this very important matter.
On the other hand I am seriously concerned about the dress of some boys. Particularly the clothing they wear on the way to and from school. Difficulties normally arise when boys unwisely buy or persuade their parents to buy “fashionable” articles of clothing and have no others for school wear. The following are the points which I should like to emphasise :-
Raincoats or overcoats must be knee-length and should be dark in colour.
Italian style shoes, suede shoes, and unduly bright socks must not be worn.
Trousers must not be tapered and for senior boys must measure not less than 18” at the turn-up.
Scarves must be either school scarves or dark in colour (grey, brown or dark blue).
Pullovers and slipovers must be grey and with V-neck.
I do realise that if your son is offending on any of these points, you may not be in a position to put it right immediately, but I shall expect every boy to be properly turned out by the beginning of the new school year.
Note for the parents on new boys:
Your son should bring his report back to school after half-term. It will be returned to you with his new report in the summer.
