"Any more fares" is shouted loudly.
Jimmy produces, very proudly,
Brand new pass in shining case -
Shining, like his eager face.
Off he hurries to the new school;
FUNCTIONAL. 'long overdue' school.

Overtakes a 5B nob;
"Hurry up, you little snob."
Watching wide-eyed in the big hall,
Stained-glass window; plain brick wall.
First day - Black robes - Some with fur:
"Good morning School." "Good morning SIR."
Alg: and French: and English Lang:
Tripped by Fourth Year, learned some slang.
"Where're your books boy? Why're you late?"
Learn in Physics, Air has weight"
Dirty blazer: "Mucky pup!"
One sock down and one sock up.
Reaches front door. "Well?" says she.
"Smashing Mum; let's have some tea."
