"SPRING FEVER" (1958-59)
Original Work by A. ROSSITER, 4A
The gentle warmth of spring is here -
The seasonal raging of the skies
Is calmed by the pleasant breezes of Zephyr.
We'll leave the Phrygian plains, Catullus!
We'll leave the sultry lands of Nicaea,
And to the clear cities of Asia fly.
Now the mind is wont to ream;
Now my feet quicken with joy.
Farewell, sweet groups of comrades,
Set out together from your distant home,
Returning now by widely-parted ways.
