Tranquillity (1958-59)
Tranquillity (1958-59)
Original Work by R. J. SEYMOUR, 4C
A valley green, a sunlit pool
Beneath whose waters dark and cool
Lie living creatures large and small,
O'ershadowed by the leaves that fall
From willow trees, 'mongst others, who
Help to hide them all from view.
A breeze that whispers through the trees,
The gentle buzz of honey-bees,
The fragrant scent of clover there
Among the grass in meadow fair,
The peace that o'er the valley lies --
Tranquillity, 'neath summer skies.
