Sunday Afternoons (1959-60)
Original Work by K. J. J. MOSELEY, IA.
I enjoy going to the zoo
On Sundays when there's nothing else to do.
I like to see the penguin ponds,
It's such a change from Thames-side swans.
The habits of lions and polar bears
Differ greatly from rabbits' and hares';
Animals sitting snug in lairs
Are more attractive than those in snares.
The wallowing fat hippopotamus
Spreads lots of mud and happiness.
It's fun to see the funny baboon -
But I must hurry - the zoo shuts soon.
