LAST year was the first full season of serious competition for a school basketball team, a year which can only be considered a great success.
After a trial match against opposition provided by the Staff the school team, captained by C. Snook, took on the formidable oppo- sition of Watford Technical College, and were taught a valuable lesson in how the game is played. A visit to Rickmansworth saw another defeat but this time only after a close, hard fought match.
The team, having learnt its lesson the hard way, was undefeated during the remainder of the season.
Credit for the vast improvements in play and shooting standards within the team and the basketball club must go to Mr. Tully for his keen informative guidance.
