I came across this and it sparked my interest as I have played for both these teams albeit 7 years later in 1978. Moreover, two the players on the Met Police side, Mr Geoff Padgeham and Mr Brian Ford later became friends and colleagues in the Royalty Protection Department where I served the majority of my Police career. Brian actually turned out for SNOBs when I coerced him many years later and showed his skills which had earned him a place in the Met Police 1st XV; British Police and Middlesex County.
