Played 9 Won 5 DRAWN 2 Lost 2
The standard of Squash played in the school has greatly improved over the past few years, mainly owing to the efforts of Mr. Noble, Mr. Birch, and a group of keen players, and to the fact that more boys are joining the local clubs and are playing regularly.
Although convincing victories were achieved over Wyners and Lowlands College, the team had to produce Squash of a higher standard to match the speed and skill of Rutlish and Harrow Junior College. And even though the side lost to Aldenham School and Merchant Taylors' School, it played very well, and can only improve by playing such good opposition.
Thanks are due to the regular team members, Barry, Tucker, Attle, Thompson, Hedges, Dane and Barder. And also to Bath, Watson, Burnett and Patterson for playing when 1st team members were not available.
Half-colours are awarded to R. Attle and K. Tucker.
Mr. Tomlin, the coach at the Squash Club, donated two rackets, one for the most improved player this year, which went to Patterson, and the other to the winner of the Squash ladder competition, Barry who beat Attle 2-1 in an exciting final match.
