Sad to report the passing of Mrs. Rosemary Broadhead on 17th November 2025 at the age of 96.
She was a fine teacher and very well-liked. Below are a few of the many tributes posted on the school Facebook site:
A wonderful lady and great teacher who gave me a great foundation in French, much in use today. Thank you.
She was a great teacher and with us on our French exchange trip if I remember correctly, '75 or '76. RIP.
Sad news, lovely lady, who liked a drink in prefects room at end of term dos and not uptight if you struggled with French. Thoughts go to her family!
I remember her bringing in a radio one Friday afternoon - must have been 1977 - and we listened to the historic Virginia Wade vs Betty Stove Wimbledon Ladies final rather than have a French lesson...
A lovely lady and inspirational teacher. She was totally the reason that I started to enjoy French and languages in general.
Mrs Broadhead was a lovely lady and I remember her French lessons vividly. My condolences to her family.
A lovely lady who helped to teach me French between 1967 and 74. My condolences to her family.
